Starting in February ArchLinux ARM will be dropping support for ARMv6 architecture, since its usage with respect to newer ARM versions like v7 or v8 have been at decline.
We will also stop building new packages for ARMv6 and phase it out from our builders starting in February.
Happy new years fellow hackers!
We decided to release our new installation ISO as an early gift for 2022.
Go grab it from our Downloads page!
For this version we decided to deprecate our old installer in favor of archinstall and a custom config. We hope you enjoy it.
The installation process can be started with:
archinstall --script archstrike-guided --config ${usa_profile}
or with the advanced profile for more options:
archinstall --script archstrike-guided --config ${adv_profile}
NOTE: the default profile creates a user admin
, the password should be easy to guess...
Have fun hacking in 2022!

archstrike-testing
repository will no longer be available.
We have moved the packages which should belong to main, and the rest can be added back if there are user requests.
To avoid problems, remove the repository from /etc/pacman.conf
We just updated our ISO files for x86_64!
One ISO Openbox like before, and we also have a Minimal ISO option now.
Check them out here
Have fun!

exploitdb-git
has been removed from our repositories, as the new community package exploitdb
replaced it. To switch to the community package run:
sudo pacman -Rns exploitdb-git && sudo pacman -S exploitdb
We would like to thank ArchLinux32 developer, tyzoid, for supporting the project by providing space for an archive. The archive can be found here: ArchStrike Archive
Due to an unexpected amount of support, and following further review and discussion, we are pleased to announce that we are able to implement an infrastructure fix to continue i686 support.
We decided to phase out i686 support due to increasing maintenance overhead of supporting the i686 architecture. We will be reallocating i686 resources to improve the ArchStrike experience.
We appreciate the help and patience from the plugbuild developers at Arch Linux | ARM, and i686 support from the archlinux32 team, who have been working with us to keep i686 support going. We would like to thank all of the i686 users who have supported us—we would not have made it this far it was not for you.
Package bettercap
has been moved out of testing and into main as bettercap-git
. To update, run:
pacman -S archstrike --needed
For testing repo users:
pacman -Rns bettercap
pacman -S archstrike --needed
Archlinux has added a new package called unicorn
that replaces our package unicorn-engine
.
Being that we aren't able to add a replaces
entry to a package in Archlinux, anyone with this package installed should remove it manually and replace it with unicorn
.

It has been brought to our attention that the latest version of the metasploit
package on the community
repository fails to upgrade due to an unresolvable dependency issue.
We recommend our users to run:
pacman -Syyu --ignore metasploit
to be able to keep their systems up to date.
We are not maintaining metasploit anymore as it was announced here, so please contact the upstream maintainer of the package about the issue
UPDATE (10/02/17): This issue has been resolved and users can update normally now.

Due to metasploit being migrated into the community repository, you might see a downgrade warning during the initial update.
It is not actually a downgrade, however because we had an epoch set on the metasploit package, pacman thinks it is.
Please ignore the downgrade warning, and use the community version of metasploit instead, since it won't be maintained by us anymore.

We were notified of an issue about archstrike-installer
not working properly on UEFI based computers. It would get stuck on the startup checks on the script and just quit back to terminal.
This issue is fixed now. Please update your installer
Run this command on a terminal to update the installer:
sudo pacman -Syy && sudo pacman -S archstrike-installer
After running this on the live image, everything should be working properly.
Thanks for the understanding.
